Description: This is a handsome example of a fine Victorian ships clock. The case is substantial, made of heavy cast brass with a thick bevelled glass. The movement is English, substantially made with a going barrel and platform escapement. Barrow was the ship building capital of the UK and still produces nuclear submarines. Story is a well known jeweller in the town so as far as a ships clock with heritage you canít go wrong. The movement has been fully serviced and runs well keeping good time over the week. This would make an excellent kitchen clock or for the study. 10" (26 cm.) Diameter
