Description: The origins of this clock lay with the Georgian tavern clocks and early silvered and wooden dial clocks of the late 18th Century. The fundamental designs of these timeless timekeepers is the same and this clock, with its solid polished mahogany case, brass bezel and heavy single fuse movement is of fine and typical high quality these clocks are renowned for. It is well made and has some good proportions, with its traditional back box and keeps good time. The movement is made to the same standard of those 100 years its elder which, despite their age and years of running, are still going strong today. Wall clocks have a wonderful rich tick and can bring life and sound into any room that they occupy.
