Description: This is a particularly fine and well proportioned Scottish longcase clock. The oak case has a lovely rich colour and figuring. The mouldings are well executed with fine and sharp contours. The case has some pretty detailing and is nicely proportions. The fully engraved dial is very attractive and the black dial wax sets off the dead silvered finish and enhances the beautiful scrolling and elegant engraving. The eight day movement is well made and in good condition. The clock dates from around the late 18th to early 19th Centuries. It is fabulous quality and has been fully overhauled and keeping good time. 84" (213 cm.) high
