Description: The substantial pierced plates joined by six double screwed and turned pillars, twin chain fusees, train wheels with six crossings, dead beat anchor escapement, striking the hours on a large coil gong and half hour passing strike on a bell, the front plate with applied cartouche signed ‘Latch Newport’ , heavy gauge pierced, silvered and engraved chapter ring with elaborate blued steel hands Fully overhauled and guaranteed 26” (66 cm.) high, including dome COMPARATIVE LITERATURE: D.
